A simple and quick option –
If you want to keep it simple, have a courthouse wedding in Oklahoma City so you have one less thing to worry about. Especially if you’re having a destination wedding. You can keep all the important documents in town that makes it all legit and take the fun out of town!
Officially married before the big party
Lucero & Jose decided to get married in Mexico but before they big party, they made it official in their home town of Oklahoma City.
Getting married at the courthouse is super simple to set up. The ceremony is short, sweet, and to the point.
They got married with only their parents present, keeping it super intimate. It also worked out perfectly due to this happening during a pandemic.
After getting married, you can take as many photos as you want inside but we were quick. Once we got one in front of the courthouse, we headed out for bride and groom portraits.
Next stop was Gaylord Pickens Museum for bride and groom portraits mid day. We took advantage of the sun shining directly in front of the building and got some gorgeous harsh light photos.
To add a little spice and personality into their portraits, they brought their favorite Tequila.
They are big into the history and process of making tequila and I thought it was a great idea to incorporate this into their photos.
Fun fact: this hug was not prompted. I stopped to take a peek at how the photos were coming along and I look up to him talking to her and giving her the tightest sweetest hug and was able to capture it just in time.
You can see another session at the Gaylord Pickens Museum here.
