The perfect scenario for a winter photoshoot
We got surprised with beautiful fluffy snow in Oklahoma City and Tati & Bryce’s session turned into a snowy engagement session. You can always count on it to be freezing in the winters here, but we rarely get fluffy and tall snow. This also means it can get dangerous to drive in it because we don’t have as many salt trucks and the city isn’t as quick to get roads cleaned up. I was hoping they didn’t want to cancel but it was quite the opposite! They were just as excited to shoot in the snow as I was! We had some flurries on and off while shooting and it just added to how beautiful these photos came out.
The session started off at a laundromat. It was practically empty so they had all the space to flirt, show some PDA, and play around in the carts.
After changing their outfits we drove to a field in SOUTH OKC. The entire area was full of evergreen trees that were covered in snow!
I had my speaker out playing some of their favorite songs that they dedicated to each other and they danced around in the empty field.
The snow wasn’t the only surprise for their shoot. As I was shooting they pulled out a little onesie to also announce that they were expecting a baby girl!
Bryce found her gorgeous ring on ETSY! He had her parents take care of her daughter during spring break so he could drive her down to Dallas, TX and pop the question. Being the traditional man he is, that was before asking her father for permission of course!
We had such a good time and forgot how cold it was. We stayed out and shot until the sun went down and we could no longer feel our fingers. Theres nothing better than a snowy engagement session in the winter in Oklahoma City.
