Covid changed up the plans for Yareli & Martin’s wedding day. So they changed it to a backyard celebration at their lake house. Luckily they were still able to have their ceremony take place at their church, which was important to them. They had taco truck food, lots of beer, and a super fun crowd! Yareli got ready with her mom and mother n law and she decided to have a first look with her bridesmaids only. Martin & Yareli also really wanted Martin’s brother to marry them so after the church ceremony, all guest gathered in the backyard. Immediately after their second ceremony, we stayed outside and took bride and groom portraits. After getting some photos in their backyard, we headed over to the lake close by and took some photos at sunset. We ended up staying out until we got some photos of the moon too. It was a hot day in August and we packed some beers to take to the lake and all have a drink. Nothing like a cold beer on a summer day. They had a huge tent in the backyard to cover the reception area. It ended up being a real life saver because it ended up raining toward the end of the night.
Catering: Takizas OKC.
They kept it traditional by including the garter and bouquet toss, la vivora de la mar, and first dances with mother/son, father/daughter. They danced all night and then had menudo served at 2am. True Mexican party style!
It felt like being with family with how loving and close everyone was and at the same time had the same fun as a college party. Martin and Yareli are a blast with a big hearts and good taste in food! I left feeling like I’d known all of them for years.
